About Us

In 2001, a group of committed community volunteers formed the Children’s Circle Association because they believed that Spokane deserved its own children’s hospital. Their initial Advocacy Luncheons, held at the Providence Auditorium, eventually became Kids at Heart. That dream became a reality when Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital opened its doors in 2003.

Our patients and their families persevere every day under the toughest circumstances and longest odds. That’s why Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital and Providence Inland Northwest Foundation are dedicated to giving all children the chance to live healthy lives, regardless of ability to pay.

Sacred Heart is the only full-service children’s hospital between Seattle and Minneapolis, caring for more than 250,000 children over the past 17 years. Our dedicated team of over 130 pediatric specialty physicians care for the most critically ill and injured children in our region. Since 2006, Kids at Heart has raised more than $1.5 million—money that helped build a new 24/7 pediatric emergency center, purchase specialized equipment for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and pediatric cardiac patients, launch a new mental health program for kids and so much more.
